Baseball Lab: MLB’s Protective Headgear For Pitchers Is ‘Coming Into Play’

Baseball is a fun game, but it can be dangerous if you don’t have the proper equipment.

In the latest episode of “NESN Clubhouse, host T.J. goes to the Baseball Research Center at UMass-Lowell to discuss the different types of protective headgear that is available to today’s players.

Among the options is the new protective hat that can be worn by pitchers to protect them from line drives back to the mound.
