Small Talk: Daniel Nava Reveals His Favorite Movie, Thoughts On Zombies

Daniel Nava hit a grand slam in his first major league at-bat. The Boston Red Sox outfielder also was a hit with the kids while fielding their tough questions.

1: Have you ever met a zombie?

Daniel: No, no I haven’t met a zombie.  I don’t know, and I don’t plan on meeting any zombies soon.

2: What’s your favorite movie?

Daniel: My favorite movie is “Dumb and Dumber.” I absolutely love to laugh, and that movie I can quote it 100,000 times, and I’ll laugh every single time just as if it was the first time. It’s my favorite movie by far.

3: What do you do with your smelly socks?

Daniel: Well, half the time I can’t find them because I don’t know where they go. You put them in the wash, and next thing you know, you don’t have any socks left. But I try to get them in the wash so I can get them back so they’re not smelly. I did used to throw my smelly socks at my brother, I have to admit.

4: Do you get scared playing in front of all those people?

Daniel: Maybe the first time I did, but after a while, you kind of get used to it. The first time I was definitely a little nervous. I don’t know if I was scared but I was definitely nervous that first time.

5: Do you know any jokes?

Daniel: I have no jokes. We actually have a thing in baseball when we have down time with whatever position you’re in so all the outfielders on the field together and we tell jokes, and I never have had one joke because I don’t remember any jokes. I might take your joke though.
