In this week’ edition of “Small Talk,” Mike Carp answers big questions from little kids.
1. What’s your favorite color and car?
1. My dad had a green Mustang, but I have a red one. Red Sox, red car. Works out for me.
2. Does your grandfather give you any candy?
2. I always raid my grandpa’s stash of candy. When I was little he’d always give me candy, too, when I did something good or had a good game.
3. Why do you like baseball?
3. It’s all I’ve ever really liked my whole life. I’m fortunate to be able to do something I love so much and have fun with it. Hopefully we’ll get back to where we were last year because I was jumping around like a little kid at the end of the year.
4. Are you a good bowler?
4. Not as good as I want to be. I have to step my game up.
5. Do you forget words to songs?
5. All the time. I think I’m a better singer alone but usually I forget the words and nobody is around to hear me mess it up.
6. What do you like to watch on TV?
6. I do like Scooby-Doo, but growing up the old Looney Toons were my favorite. Bugs Bunny and all of them. They had me going when I was a little kid.
